Kevin Costner Makes a few Announcements…
Yellowstone star, award winning movie director, Kevin Costner made a host of announcements on Instagram to his fans where the actor engages with people who support his music, movies and streaming shows.
In a few recent announcements, Costner said he would create a docuseries themed around the generations of indigenous communities of the world, with the series following communities episode by episode, with the tribes, land, culture and threats that these communities face from climate change, land development and pandemics.
He also announced that he would direct a period Western, setting an August production start, starring also in the film with production company Territory Pictures as finance company. Fans can look forward to another Western produced, starring Costner, since Dances with Wolves, which won Best Picture and Best Director for Costner at the Oscars.
In the meantime, Yellowstone was renewed by Paramount Network and is set to air in two parts on Paramount Plus, with four additional episodes. Yellowstone’s story of landowning Duttons fending off threats to their land, recorded over 10 million views on the Paramount Network.
Costner also went to Instagram to speak about the HearHere app, a project he said “is for people like me, who love to travel and learn the history of the places they discover.” The HearHere app has ove 8800 audio stories across the U.S. and is available for iOS users.
