Scissor Seven (2018): An Average Main Character but A Not So Average Story

Are you looking for a cartoon that’s family-friendly but not really? A cartoon that has a main character that that’s bad at everything but also surprisingly skillful? A cartoon that that brings you on an emotional rollercoaster? Scissor Seven is the cartoon for you!

Seven is just your average barber but what makes him different from all barbers is he’s actually an assassin with a cheap price. With his trusty pair of scissors, he goes on different missions and deals with his lost memories.

Scissor Seven (also known as “Killer Seven” in China) is produced by Sharefun Studio and AHA Entertainment. The first episode was released in 2018. The show currently has 3 seasons and rumored for a 4th season and a movie.  It is available to binge watch on Netflix (2020).

This is a much-watch cartoon as all (most) of its characters are funny, lovable, and has their own principles. Its art style can vary from cheap to very detailed animation. The way of story telling may be slow but it builds the world as if you were the one curious about the main character’s past life. Even with less than 20 minutes each episode, it is able to create a plot and cliffhangers that make you want to watch more.
