Have you watched the groundbreaking Avatar (2009) and the previews for the upcoming Avatar: The Way of Water (2022) before? What did you think about the film, its direction, cast, the story, 3D cinematography, soundtrack and overall themes?
Having seen Avatar in IMAX-3D in the theater in 2009, on my LG 86inch 3D-TV on Disney+ and in 2022, in the remastered IMAX re-release, this film is simply stunning. A modern classic, then and now. That said, the long-awaited sequel is on its way, this December.
How big of an impact do you think Avatar has or will have on entertainment? Walt Disney Studios Paris theme park had announced the construction of the European version of Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge, found in Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Well, those plans have since been scrapped, what’s presumed to go in its place? Pandora – The World of Avatar, a themed land, inspired by James Cameron’s Avatar, located within Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park.

This film was even more stunning in IMAX-3D today, as it was, when I was first captivated by it’s casting, characters, storytelling and unbelievable, groundbreaking visual effects. I give Avatar (2009) 5 JoulePeppers – it’s Spicy!
