Have you watched Dune: Part Two (2024), yet? What did you think about the streaming film? I loved it! Walking out of the IMAX Theater, I could not stop thinking about how awesome this Sequel is! While I enjoyed Dune (2021) in IMAX (I also saw it in-Theaters way back in 1984 also), it took a second viewing of Part 1, at home, to fully appreciate it You can see my REVIEW, here. When it came to Part Two, I was fully engaged, enthralled from start to finish. This second part might not have had the same level of suspense, however, it had far more action, better pacing and equal drama with is predecessor.

Setting aside my love of the film, I wanted to take a minute to compiling about Shaw Theatres in Singapore. They shared an excessive $3 Booking Fee on already excessive $22 Matinee Movie Ticket. Shaw Brothers should be ashamed of themselves, when competitors like Golden Village, offer a GVMovieClub Membership, which does away with nonsense like ticket booking fees and also charges, overall, far less for a Movie Theater Experience. Added to this, while Shaw brags about having IMAX screens in Singapore, some are a 1/3 smaller than others and should be ticked at less than their full-size IMAX screens which, are about 1/2 the size of the jumbo IMAX screen of Jordan’s Furniture in Reading, Massachusetts, where I go when staying in Boston.

Keeping to the topic of what AppFlicks is all about – Streaming! When you consider Streaming vs. Movie Theaters, while it is expensive to run a movie theater, something I know about, being a REIT Location Based Entertainment / Theme Park Consultant and former Mall Marketing Manager, if you want an individual or family to leave their sofa, your Single Admission Theater Ticket price cannot cost more than double the monthly rate of a Streamer.
