Full Review:

Have you watched Loki yet? What did you think about the series, its direction (bit slow), cast (superb), the story (smart), cinematography via the Lucasfilm “Stagecraft” technology, first seen in The Mandalorian (2019) is amazing, the soundtrack (fabulous too) and the overall themes?

I look forward to your JoulePepper rating of Loki (2021) TV-Series and I would love to read your comments in the JouleView section, below. After six uneventful episodes, let’s get right down to the point, without wasting any more time. The acting is top notch, the plot, the overall narrative is well thought-out… but make sure you have a cup of extra dark coffee nearby as it’s akin to a 276 minute episode of The Twilight Zone, a series I love, but when I compare it to this, I don’t mean it in the best of ways.

While Loki can be entertaining, it’s deep. Perhaps too cerebral, without any body to ground it within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) that most fans are looking-for. The series is about timelines and I wish I could go back and either re-edit this series for the director or not bother watching it.

I miss Thanos! Prime Loki (from the MCU) is mostly the court jester of the series, bested by literally, everyone and it gets tiring to watch. While the direction is good, almost every scene is drawn out, over extended, almost to fill time. If i were to edit this show, it would be for pacing. Why spend 46 minutes, when just 30 min are needed?

I’m borrowing a-bit from another franchise here, when I say, “You can write this crap, but you can’t watch it.” That pretty much sums up how I feel. Sorry, if I disappointed you, with my review. Trust me, I am disappointed also!

Based on the above, I give this streaming series, most 3 (sometimes 4) JoulePeppers – it’s a mostly Warm story, that’s sometimes Hot, with some Spicy action, but that happens just too far and few in-between the smart, well acted scenes to earn it that full rating!

SPOILER WARNING: Stay for the End Credit scene that will either make you jump for joy or say, “what the…”
