Have you watched Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One (2023), yet? I did! Was so excited to be invited to watch Tom Cruise, back in action, courtesy of my Lucasfilm friends at Industrial Light & Magic (ILM), who invited me to see their crew screening. The ILM teams in Singapore and Sydney did many of the VFX shots in this film and it was a honor to catch their work, in a theater surrounded by the many unsung heroes who truly make our “heroes” shine on the big screen.

That said, Christopher McQuarrie really knows how to direct an action film. A great director also understands where to place the score in the mix and this film’s sound design really kept Ethan Hunt and his Impossible Mission Force on their toes.
