AppFlicks Exclusive Review:

Have you watched The Greatest Night in Pop (2024) yet? I did! And it was such a rush to be brought back to 1985. What an amazing documentary, sharing new and old insights into the recording of “We Are The World” by USA for Africa. While I was really into music at the time, I had no idea about how this recording was TOP SECRET and held immediately after The Grammy Awards Show, running into the wee hours of the next morning. I also didn’t realize just how involved Singer / Writer Lionel Richie was. This was actually HIS project from start to finish. The documentary explores how this effort got started and all of the steps leading-up-to and including the actual recording, production and release. Amazing! Share your thoughts on the album, production, and overall sound. After reading my review, join the conversation in the comments section below.
