Synopsis:
Season 1

“The Last Kingdom season 2. Abbot Eadred (David Schofield) experiences a holy vision that tells him Guthred, the rightful king of Cumbraland, is currently enslaved by Kjartan and Sven. … But Guthred does not wish to kill Uhtred, so instead he sells him into brutal slavery on the open seas.”

“The tempestuous relationship between Uhtred and King Alfred came to a head in season three, when Uhtred refused to swear a further oath to Alfred’s son Edward, preferring his freedom and considering his debt to Alfred paid. … Uhtred plotted with the Danes to invade Wessex, despite feeling uneasy about the scheme.”
