The Man In The High Castle (2015), Seasons 1-4 on Amazon Prime Video

The Man In The High Castle on Amazon Prime Video was the first series that I watched on the platform and I must say, I was totally impressed with the quality of the cast, script and direction based on the 1962 novel. While I’ve been a Prime member for many years, I’m now scratching my head as to why it took me so long to start watching all of the included Video content. Amazon original series and films are exceptional and the revolving catalog of free to watch Films and Television Shows and Documentaries are vast.

While High Castle was slow start, I was taken by the middle of Season 1, captivated throughout Seasons 2 -3 and on the edge of my seat, throughout Season 4. While it’s always hard to end such a gripping series when expectations are so high… I must admit that I didn’t like the ending. Not sure if it was me, wanting more… if I felt the story didn’t unfold as I had hoped, but it certainly was a brave ending. No spoilers here, as I highly recommend you watch all 4 seasons.

I have since watched several Amazon Prime Video original series, The Boys and Jack Ryan being my likely favorites, to date. One highlight, beyond the overall quality are episodes that clock in, over 50-60 mins, unlike similar content on Disney+ that seems to take as long to load, as it does to watch at just 20-30mins per show. Keep you posted, as I will continue to review and discuss more Amazon content across AppFlicks.
